Our master, coach and the founder of Mudpackers. A very enthusiastic mountain biker, the only person I know who travels faster uphill than he does downhill. (that was before we put the rock in his rucksack on the c2c) We've finally talked him into ditching his spandex suits and coming into the fashion world of mountain biking. He has currently had delivery of his new downhill bike and is being trained by Ben......good luck Mick!!

Des ........Navigator and Editor
The Editor of this site.I've also been given the task of navigator hence our other name given to us by work colleagues "The Lost Boys". Apparently according to the other members I'm having a mid-life crisis, But honestly the sports car is the wifes!
Currently wanted by the Forestry Commission!!! and still the current holder of the yellow jersey.... a brand new BFC one....up the clarets!! Plus no idea on how far a route is....all rides are 11 miles!! NOT!

Paul ........The negotiator!
Cool hand Luke, never moans about how steep a hill is, I think his backside is glued to the saddle, I've never seen him stand up (maybe he's just to tired to moan or stand) Paul has currently built a full suspension bike, and its getting a good seeing to. Winner of the comment of the month....."Use the middle pedal d*****ad", Paul is also the winner of the smash of the year....keep it up Paul

More laid back than horizontal, he's more enthusiastic about food, bed & beer than he is about getting up early in the morning for a ride (hang on a minute so am I, let's not get carried away) I just wish somebody would buy him an alarm clock, but all in all a valued member of our team. Watch out for those tabletops Rory! Nickname Shaggy .

Nigel.........stunt commander
Our own Fireman Sam! Nigel is our events manager, he has done a first class job of organising the C2C including sponsorship for the NSPCC. Realised after 3 months cycling it is easier to pedal when your brakes aren't seized on.(pity he can't manage his own bike) Back in the saddle after a couple of months nursing his broken ribs.
No more quarries for you Nigel!!!!

Ben.......The downhill champion
Our own future World downhill champion! Takes us to a whole new level. (if we can keep up!, still Ben & Rory are 20 years younger than the rest of us) Loves His biking whether it is x/country or downhill. Nickname Chucky, Don't know whether this is because he falls asleep with a Chucky doll or because he was chucking up when doing the V trail at Glentress. Ben is currently getting ready for his next season of downhill racing, good luck Ben!!

Goes by the nickname of Dazza. Cooks a mean curry but really shouldn't tell his girlfriend how to cook(someone has too). Trained by Mick. I ride two bikes, a GT and a Orange full suss....see, i must of been a good boy as i got one in the end. Still trying to loose weight to get up them hills!! Loves every minute of being out.
I am also the Editors little Helper and i am doing a good job!!

Glass back, can often be seen on his back after a long steep climb straightening his back out, serves him right for accidently killing the family cat when he sat on it after too many sherbets. For those of you who thinks he goes round killing cats he genuinely was mortified and very sorry.

The local "Sir" apparantly the word on the street "Sir" is a very good teacher and Burnley fan, just recently started riding after moving into the village of Trawden, loves falling off his bike and according to his wife, he is a lover of donkey's........mmmmmm
Hope to see you on plenty of rides "Sir" but he only comes out when its throwing it down. Just bought himself a Scott full suss and currently loves it....the riding that is.
 Ash..............The trials champion
Ash is a new member and has more tricks up his sleeve than David Copperfield. Very talented, and i have heard that he won a bike at the world championships in Fort William by balancing on a bike for well above an hour, before asking to stop.....bring it on Ash!!!

Dave 'the cross dresser'
Another new member, Dave passion's are donkey's, bananas, wearing his wife's outdoor clothes.......oh and swimming shorts....its all a bit worrying. He is on a mission to get fit after years of abuse, we are not sure what yet but he likes to complain and is still looking for his spuds.....because the weather has got warmer, he has moved on from his wifes outdoor clothing to her spandex shorts.....whats else do you wear Dave???? welcome aboard
