11 riders along with 2 support drivers cyclied the arduous 232 mile Welsh coast to coast, The Mudpackers did this to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and Macmillan Cancer Support. The ride began in Conwy, North Wales and finished in Swansea on the southern coast of Wales; the vast majority of the ride was off road on local bridleways and did encompass a few of the single track centres. It was divided into 6 days; an average of 38.5 miles per day, with a lot of the epic riding being covered this did require the riders to be competent with map and compass skills. The route: - Day 1:- Conwy - Ffestiniog 36miles Day 2:- Ffestiniog - Machynlleth 50miles Day 3:- Machynlleth - Devils Bridge 25miles Day 4:- Devils Bridge - Builth Wells 49miles Day 5:- Builth Wells - Brecon 36miles Day 6:- Brecon - Swansea 36miles |
