I have a few bits of news today, it has been brought to my attention that a certian member has made a complaint about the time it takes to update the website. So at his request i have updated the website with a few photos of himself....so here is Dave the cross dresser, hoping his sprouts stick out by wearing his wife's shorts............'Do my spuds look big in these shorts'......

It was there this morning!!! does it look big lads???                  Dave the cross dresser!!

Another bit of news from the weekend was about Mick ' The downhiller'.............. This photo was taken just has he came off.............thank god he had the body armour on!!

20th April 2008

After Saturdays ride in Llandegla, i wanted to show everyone how to ride the Northshore Bridge. We saw a young lass fly off and hit a tree and after couple of mins she recovered. Ash then decided he would ride the bridge, 10 of us rode it with 2 wheels and Ash rode it on 1!!!

19th April 2008

Ben has updated his downhill page, please have a look, & good luck for the rest of the season Ben from all the Mudpackers.

5th April 2008

A good turn out for saturdays ride, the ride was cut short due to time contraints. Mick was missing again......The website has nearly 10,000 hits and we will celebrate this with a night out somewhere, hopefully Rory will sort something. Dave and Screw have new names.  Ponch and Jon from the TV programme CHIPS, and if you're wondering who they are here is a little reminder....

Dave (Ponch) was last seen in Walkabout dancing the night away whilst dazza was hanging on to the fruit machine for dear life before he passed out..........Screw (Jon) was last seen in Paradise.....
Good ride and a good night was had by all. See you all Saturday and i remember rightly i think we might be joined on Saturday by Dave's son....but i was very leathered and cant really remember...hopefully he will he be another addition to the Mudpackers....time will tell......

28th March 2008

Dazza has finally got himself a full suspension bike, talk about being in the right place at  the right time he has been given a 'Orange Patriot'. No more complaining about a sore a**e Dazza. You can try it out at Llandegla!

27th March 2008

We will be back to normal this week, (NO MICK, DARREN & NIGEL) even Rory may come this week HAHA. See future rides for this weeks ride.

We are hoping to go to Llandegla one Saturday in April, this will probably be an early start from home & back home around tea time.

24th March 2008

It has been the Easter weekend and with everyone being busy a few did the Bingley Bash on Saturday, Mick and I ( Dazza's splinter group, even tried to poach Ash) did the Moor bottom on good friday and 5 of us did the Weets loop on the bank holiday, we will be back to normal for Saturday...wont we Des???. Mick was training over at Cowling with his downhill bike, I have added a few videos to Ben's page. I was very impressed with today's turn out (Monday), Screw has ditched his swimming shorts and bought some 'real' shorts and Dave has stopped wearing his wifes clothes ( so he tells us) but still insist on wearing his swimming shorts. Another bit of news is that Mick has got the full Hope Shirt and Shorts.....just like you Ash. Good luck to Ash for wednesday who is competing in France.....

PS has anyone seen Rory or Nigel??

17th February 2008

2nd February 2008

Morning after the night before.......Des, Paul, Ash and Ben kept the Mudpackers flag flying by doing a ride. Not sure how Ben did it as he was reportedly to be still in the Zebras at 3 am.... Mick and myself did a small ride on Sunday morning but it was very slugish....which is not suprising after all the food and ale!!  Well done lads for keeping the flag flying.

Des has finally found his brew!!!

20th January 2008

Due to our unwanted spam visitor we have removed the message board, we remain hopefull that we can put it back on in the near future.

10th January 2008

It has come to our attention that Darren (Eds helper) slipped away earlier this week to Prague for his birthday with Wendy. (who still will not let Darren purchase a full suspension bike) I think it was probably a smoke screen because we have just been informed that they have become engaged. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them and wish them all the happiness for the future, on behalf of all the Mudpackers.

20th December   "Stop press"

Our LEADER & MENTOR is going over to the DARK SIDE (shopping) we have it on good authority that he is not riding again this Saturday, this is the 4th week-end on the trot. We must help Mick through this illness' (it has cost us a fortune in therapy for our leader this year) Get well soon Mick!!  The Ed. (no I havn't spelt end wrong)

19th December

Tomorrow afternoon the Mudpackers will be on the Radio from 3pm onwards...........listen at your peril on 87.9 FM

The Mudpackerettes did go out sunday but due to the weather we only managed the Moor Bottom. It was a very wet and cold morning. Rory gave his excuses for not turning up, so there was only Mick and I (Ed's little helper).  And my bike is knackered again.....please Wendy can i have a new bike that doesnt brake.....ha ha ha ha

On a serious note the Mudpackers have been asked to appear on the Burnley Community radio on the 20th December, so watch this space.......

The Ed

PS Mick was seen last night ONLY drinking coke cola, is this the new Mick??

15th November

Well we have decided to add the guestbook back to the site, so hopefully our friend wont come back and spoil it for us all.

Cheers Ed's little helper

3rd November

This is a special report because it as been brought to our attention that a complaint has been made by the Forestry Commision GB, that trees in the Gisburn Forest are being damged by an individual of the Mudpackers group.  I have been asked to ask Des AKA the stunt commander to refrain from hitting the trees as this is the second time this year. The Forestry Commission has informed me that if Des wants to join the Team Umpalumpa he is welcome to do so...hahha sorry Des. Please get some body armour!!!

31st October

Two dates for social events announced.

17th November:- Sun Inn, Trawden (shirt presentation)

15th December:- Balti House, Keighley (xmas do)

Times for both to be confirmed at later date.

11th October 2007

Team umpalumpa decided to go out building trail jumps today, led by our once again astute leader Mick. (just out of the priory again after a drying out session)  This was their first  attempt at building ramps (hopefully their last) and on Nigel's first attempt he came a cropper, resulting in five broken ribs & a broken big toe. Nigel is being kept in hospital overnight on morphine.

After all the jokes etc we wish him well & a speedy recovery

Old men that should know better!!

25th September 2007

The Editor is back from holiday and after the ride on Saturday don't we know it, he has now changed his role within the group to the groups Stunt Commander.

Des after his stunt

Hopefully will be better soon!!

14th September 2007

The Editor is back from holiday so hopefully now fully refreshed Eds little helper & I can give the site a refreshing update & hopefully archive some of the older rides. If anybody would like to give us idea's or something you would  like to see on the site please email us.

Thanks the Ed!

28th August 2007

Our friend has return and destroyed our guestbook, so  i have taken this off until the matter is resolved. Its a shame that a individual has spoilt it for us all!

22nd August 2007

We have decided to put back the Guestbook after someone decided to add ten's of spam messages and ruined the Guestbook. So the Guestbook is live and ready for people to use but could be removed if our friend turns up again.  Please feel free to leave a message. Thanks

20th August 2007

The team have decided that Mick's efforts on Saturday's ride was so pathetic that we have booked him into the priory to sort his Friday night red wine drinking habit's out. We need our leader to be strong & commited to the task of leading us. Whilst we are dissapointed to be leaderless we do understand it is an illness & we will give him all the support he needs & wish him a speedy recovery in his personal battle. haha

13th August 2007

Currently looking into doing the Scottish Coast to Coast from Creetown to Edinburgh approx 186 miles. More details later.

2nd August 2007

Sorry for any inconveniance this may cause, we can still be contacted via email to answer any questions or queries.
